Global Warming is a radically urgent and serious problem. We don't need to wait for governments to find a solution for this difficulty: each individual can bring a significant help adopting a more accountable lifestyle: starting from little, everyday things. It's the only reasonable way to save our planet, before it is too late.

Here is a list of 50 simple things that everyone can do in order to scuffle against and reduce the Global Warming happening: some of these ideas are at no cost, some other require a little effort or asset but can help you save a lot of money, in the middle-long term!
1. Replace a regular glowing light bulb with a solid fluorescent light bulb
CFLs use 60% less energy than a regular bulb. This simple button will save about 300 pounds of carbon dioxide a year.
We propose you purchase your CFL bulbs at 1000bulbs.com, they have great deals on both screw-in and plug-in light bulbs.

2. Establish a programmable thermostat
Programmable thermostats will mechanically lower the heat or air conditioning at night and increase them again in the morning. They can save you $100 a year on your energy bill.
3. Move your thermostat down 2° in frost and up 2° in summer
Almost half of the power we use in our homes goes to heating and cooling. You could save about 2,000 pounds of carbon dioxide a year with this simple change.
4. Clean or restore filters on your heater and air conditioner
Cleaning a filthy air filter can keep 350 pounds of carbon dioxide a year.
5. Choose energy competent appliances when making new purchases
Look for the Energy Star tag on new appliances to decide the most energy efficient products accessible.
6. Do not leave appliances on standby
Use the "on/off" function on the machine itself. A TV set that's switched on for 3 hours a day and in preserve mode during the remaining 21 hours uses about 40% of its energy in standby mode.
7. Wrap your water heater in an insulation blanket
You'll save 1,000 pounds of carbon dioxide a year with this simple deed. You can keep another 550 pounds per year by setting the thermostat no higher than 50°C.
8. Shift your fridge and freezer
Placing them next to the cooker or boiler consumes much more energy than if they were standing on their own. For example, if you put them in a hot basement room where the room temperature is 30-35ÂșC, energy use is almost twice and causes an extra 160kg of CO2 emissions for fridges per year and 320kg for freezers.
9. Defrost old fridges and freezers regularly
Even better is to replace them with newer models, which all have automatic defrost cycles and are generally up to two times more energy-efficient than their predecessors.

10. Don't let heat flee from your house over a long period
When ventilation your house, open the windows for only a few minutes. If you leave a small opening all day long, the energy needed to keep it hot inside during six cold months would consequence in almost 1 ton of CO2 emissions.

11. Replace your old single-glazed windows with double-glazing
This requires a bit of frank investment, but will halve the energy lost through windows and compensate off in the long term. If you go for the best the bazaar has to present, you can even put aside more than 70% of the energy lost.

12. Get a home energy audit
Many utilities offer free home energy audits to find where your home is poorly insulated or energy inefficient. You can save up to 30% off your energy bill and 1,000 pounds of carbon dioxide a year. Energy Star can help you find an energy authority.

13. Cover your pots while cooking
Doing so can save a lot of the energy needed for preparing the dish. Even better are force cookers and steamers: they can save around 70%!

14. Use the washing machine or dishwasher only when they are full
If you need to use it when it is half full, and then uses the half-load or market setting. There is also no need to set the temperatures high. Nowadays detergents are so proficient that they get your clothes and dishes clean at low temperatures.

15. Take a wash instead of a bath
A shower takes up to four times less energy than a bath. To maximize the energy saving, keep away from power showers and use low-flow showerheads, which are despicable and provide the same soothe.

16. Use less hot water
It takes a lot of vigor to heat water. You can use less hot water by installing a low flow showerhead and washing your clothes in cold or warm water instead of hot.

17. Use a clothesline instead of a dryer whenever feasible
You can save 700 pounds of carbon dioxide when you air dry your clothes for 6 months out of the year.

18. Protect and weatherize your home
Properly insulating your walls and ceilings can save 25% of your home heating bill and 2,000 pounds of carbon dioxide a year. Caulking and weather-stripping can save another 1,700 pounds per year. Energy competent has more in sequence on how to better insulate your home.

19. Be sure you're recycling at home
You can save 2,400 pounds of carbon dioxide a year by recycling half of the waste your family generates.

20. Recycle your organic waste
Around 3% of the greenhouse gas emissions through the methane are free by decomposing bio-degradable waste. By recycling natural waste or composting it if you have a garden, you can help eliminate this difficulty! Just make sure that you compost it properly, so it decomposes with sufficient oxygen, otherwise your compost will cause methane emissions and smell unclean.

2010 FIFA World Cup - Team USA - will they shock the world?

This year in 2010 will be the nineteenth FIFA World Cup. The World Cup is definitely going to be played host by South Africa this year in 2010. There has currently been lots of talk about South Africa not being a good choice to host the cup in 2010. The FIFA World Cup is held every single 4 years. Pretty much similar to the Olympic games that is held every 4 years, countries from around the globe take part in this outstanding world sporting event.

The qualification process for the current year's soccer cup took place commencing back in 2007. In August 2007 there were 204 FIFA national teams which took part in the qualifications for the current year's cup. In terms of the large number of opposing countries in this world event, the number is pretty close to that of the Summer Olympic games. The USA team has qualified for this event and will be playing up against teams in Group C.

Even though soccer hasn't had a huge influence on American Sporting life, the game of soccer has increased in popularity through the current years. It is said that team USA is ranked 1st in the Confederation of North, Central American and Caribbean Association Football otherwise known as CONCACAF. The United States national soccer team is ranked in the top 20 in the globe.

The United States has wound up in Group C for the 2010 world soccer cup. In Group C the following nations are playing: Algeria, Slovenia, England and United States. Of the four nations in this group, I believe the best of these four are England and USA. It has been stated by some that England could be the winner of the cup in 2010.

The schedule for United States is like so. It will be matching up against England on June the 12th. On the 18th of June 2010 United States are playing up against Slovenia. It will play the Algeria team on June the 23rd 2010. The question posed now is whether or not they can progress through this Group C. The Americans have the England side to contest with and I am quite excited to watch what ends up happening in this thrilling group.
Teams just like USA are putting on recently designed soccer jerseys. Soccer jerseys have been manufactured by a large number of popular manufacturers like Nike and Adidas and are on sale to the general community so that the public will be able to support their country. Every single nation possess both home and away designs and all the designs look impressive. Team USA have an outstanding design for 2010 and fans who root for them should really get hold of one.

Many supporters wear soccer jerseys as they are enjoying the FIFA World Cup so that they can support the team that they adore. For Team USA fans in the current year it usually sporting their very own soccer jersey and sporting it while watching this astonishing sporting event.

Team USA should certainly be capable to get through their Group in 2010 and progress to the latter parts of the World Cup. America have past the qualifiers for the previous 5 cups and this current year the American team are off to South Africa. In 2002, the American's reached the quarterfinals. For the current cup in South Africa America will probably do a lot better and get to the semifinals.

Bob Bradley is the present day manager of the USA national team. He started back in 2006 and has brought the impressive team to where they are now. As the manager and head coach of the USA national team, Bradley has carried out a great deal of awesome things to the soccer team.
In conclusion, get behind Team USA this year because the team will undoubtedly play great soccer against the other nations. They have a great chance this year to get to the latter phases of the FIFA World Cup. Wear your very own team America soccer jersey during this year's world sporting soccer event.

The Hawaiian Islands

hawai_selale.jpg
Sandy beaches, active volcanoes, fantastic waves, and interesting people are but a few of the reasons to visit the islands of Hawaii. As the 50th state, Hawaii offers a multitude of wonders, a rich cultural history and a beautiful climate year around.

Hawaiian Geography:
The state of Hawaii is actually an archipelago of more than a dozen islands, with six of them, Kauai, Oahu, Maui, Molokai, Lanai, and the Big Island of Hawaii, open to visitors. The big island itself is actually the youngest out of all of the Hawaiian Islands and is home to all three of Hawaii's active volcanoes. These are Mauna Lao, which actually covers half of the Big Island and last erupted in 1984, Kilauea, which has been erupting since 1983, and the underwater giant Loihi, located off of the Big Island's southern coast.

Hawaii's First Settlers
The first peoples to arrive on Hawaiian more than 1,600 years ago were Polynesians, who traveled by canoes and brought with them many staples to survive the journey including pigs, chickens, and dogs, and the seeds or roots of taro, coconuts, bananas and sweet potatoes. Captain James Cook, the first Westerner, arrived in 1778 and was killed by Hawaiian warriors at Kealakekua Bay a year later. The ruler Kamehameha successfully united all of the Hawaiian Islands by the early 1800s. Other Western missionaries and settlers continued to come to the islands, and in 1959 Hawaii became a state.

Hawaiian Activities
Today visitors can enjoy Hawaii's rich cultural past and participate in a wide variety of activities throughout the islands. You can enjoy a round of golf, snorkel along the coast, sport fish, spend the day horseback riding, surfing, shopping, or enjoying annual rodeos, hula festivals, or cherry blossom festivals. When visiting Oahu, make sure to stop by the Pearl Harbor memorial, or if you will be spending time on the Big Island, venture to the top of Mauna Lao while visiting Hawai'i Volcanoes National Park. How Does Dish Network Internet Measure Up To Cable?

 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Get HD TV free for life. Do not worry about monthly bills. DISH offers the most TV Channels than the other provides. Visit their website
Dish Network - ad.doubleclick.net

 -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that your time is valuable. I know mine is. So why waste time waiting for old-fashioned dial-up service just to check your email or find a recipe for tonight's dinner online?
For years I suffered through busy signals, knowing my kids were online doing their "homework" (yeah, right!), and all manner of fooling around and tying up the phone. Then, one day, stuck on the side of the road with a flat tire and unable to get through to my husband because of that dreaded busy signal, I made a decision -- we were switching to broadband!
Back home (and dry) once again, I stuck to my decision and decided to see what was available. One click of my mouse key and I was bombarded with an array of confusing choices. Each service promised the best features and service, yet who could I trust? After hours of comparison shopping I was more confused than ever.
"So why not use Dish Network?" asked my husband. "We've always been happy with their satellite TV service." What can I say, when the man's right, he's really right. We'd had their TV satellite service for years and have never been disappointed, so I started surfing around and looking for some information.
At first, that made things even worse. There's so much conflicting information out there on Dish Network alone that just figuring out who to believe is half the battle. Lucky for me (and you, too), I found a few great sites that keep on top of all the latest information and deals on Dish Network Internet service. I've listed these down at the bottom of this article. Definitely take a look.
Thanks to those sites, I was able to get a super sweet deal and all I can say is WOW! Was I ever surprised when they hooked us up and I noticed the difference between our old dial-up service and our new high-speed (and I mean HIGH speed) Internet service. Who knew that the Dish service could give you so much?
While I may have started out just wanting to free up my phone line, I've come to appreciate the other things the service offers like NO MORE WAITING! With Dish's High Speed DSL Internet Service, we are now always connected and ready to go. Suddenly, doing things on the computer isn't just fast - it's fun! I don't have to waste an entire evening downloading my pictures anymore and can actually talk on the phone while I'm doing it.
But what if you're like my sister who can't get DSL in the area where she lives? Don't worry, Dish has you covered. With the Dish Network High Speed Internet Service powered by Wild Blue via their satellite system, just about anyone, anywhere, can enjoy the service, even if they can't access DSL or cable where they live.
Like the Dish DSL service that we have, satellite broadband customers can enjoy the speed and flexibility of the system; as many as 5 email addresses included; free installation; free anti-virus and anti-spy ware software and even free spam filtering, all for about the same amount as you were paying before for each thing individually.
So, how do I like my new service? I don't like it - I love it! NO more standing on the side of the road in the rain anymore with a flat tire. Busy signals are a thing of the past at my house. What a relief!
